After months’ work on installation and greening, the Outward Bound Playground in Shanghai No.2 Industrial University finally come into use on Mar. 23, 2018, providing students another space to compete with each other as well as challenge themselves.

                           

Built outdoor, the Outward Bound Playground is so beautiful that looks terrific among trees and flowers.

Main facilities on this are Obstacle Course Equipment. To make it more fun and convenient for competition, there are two race paths on each obstacle course equipment.

What is a Family Entertainment Center?

Family entertainment center(FEC for short) always strives to maximize family fun and provide new and diverse activities for everyone to enjoy. 

What is an FEC?

Apart from being a fun and exciting way for you and your family to spend the day together, a family entertainment center is actually a small scale amusement park marketed towards families with small children or teenagers. FECs include an incredible wide range of entertainment options including climbing walls, arcade games, mini golf, free fall rides, ropes courses, laser tag, and more. And the wide range of games and activities provide entertainment for all ages and leave every member of the family with a fun and thrilling experience.

Family entertainment centers, sometimes called family fun centers, have been around for decades. The first family fun centers gained popularity in the early 1970’s as arcades and miniature golf facilities, and quickly spread across USA. As time went on, these facilities continued to expand and gain more activities, games, and new innovations. Today, nearly every FEC still includes arcades and mini golf courses however many new FEC activities have entered the scene. As the industry continues to grow, FEC games and equipment will continue to become more inclusive and diverse.

Equipment in Modern FEC

Today, we see a variety of new equipment that has been added to the list of FEC essentials. Go karts, high ropes course, climbing walls and other thrilling equipment are just some of more common FEC activities and rides. With these newly incorporated standards, family entertainment centers are even more exciting and cater to a greater range of customers.

A High Ropes Course is modern addition to the classic family fun center, which can be both indoor and outdoor. With various aerial challenge activities, participants will be more exciting here.



Zip Line is another thrilling element to add into FEC. By using state of the art zip line equipment, you can create a fun zip line with automatic brake for your customers.



Many family entertainment centers also love to add Climbing Walls to give their FEC a well-rounded experience for the whole family. Climbing wall with auto belay can always provide exciting reliable family fun.

Tips on Climbing Wall Maintenance

A scientific inspection schedule makes your climbing wall maintenance efficient. As professional artificial climbing wall manufacturer, JP Development would like to offer some basic tips on Climbing Wall Maintenance schedule, to help you better maintain your climbing walls in your gym.

                    

Daily--

1. Lead Ropes: you can inspect less frequently if not highly used

2. Auto Belay Equipment: some manufacturers require daily inspection of line

3. Top Ropes: visual inspection required


Monthly--

1. Rental Harness, Instructional Harnesses, etc.: replace them should equipment display high signs of wear, or after 3 years of use

2. Belay Devices, Carabiners and other hardware: inspect for cracks, wear, or deformations, retire and replace when necessary


Every 6 Months--

1. Belay Bars: inspect for wear and tightness/integrity of fasteners

2. Lead Bolts and Double Top Anchors: Inspect for wear and tightness/integrity of fasteners and hardware

3. Quick-draw: inspect for wear and replace it as needed. Inspect carabiners for wear and integrity. May inspect areas of high chafe more frequently

4. Floor Anchors: check for excessive wear of daisy chains, check integrity and tightness of quick links, bolt hangers and fasteners

5. Shoes and helmets: inspect for wear, replace as required

6. Auto Belay Maintenance


Annually--

1. Tighten Panel Bolts

2. Belay Bar Weld Inspection: check inside and outside welds for integrity and cracks, judge any looseness

3. Primary Structure Inspection: inspect fasteners from structure to parent structure, inspect ledgers, girts columns

4. Weld inspections of structure

5. Surface patching: patch aesthetic surface blemishes, if necessary
