International Climbing Competition Classification

In the international climbing world, there is an international association responsible for promoting sports climbing and organizing international competitions. It is the International Mountaineering and Climbing Federation or International Council of Competition Climbing ( ICC ). 

According to the form of competition, it can be divided into: World Cup and World Championships; adult competitions over 20 years old and youth competitions under 19 years old; men's group competitions and women's division competitions; international competitions, intercontinental competitions and national competitions. It is also worth mentioning that climbing wall is also an important project in the X-Games.

World competitions can be played in several forms, such as Difficulty, Speed, and Bouldering.

· The difficulty race is for the participants to race on the same difficulty route. The higher the climb or the farther is the winner.

· Speed racing, as its name implies, is determined by speed. After completing the route in the fastest time, you will be promoted until the champion is produced.

· The bouldering competition is for the participants to try to complete multiple routes within the specified time. The fewer the number of attempts and the ability to complete the route is the champion.

How To Build a Psychological Behavior Training Ground

I believe many people have heard about psychological behavior training. So what exactly is psychological behavior training? How should the psychological behavior training ground be built?

Psychological behavior training is a training method that hone people's will. By challenging some extreme training courses, the trainees will stimulate their potential and temper their psychological will after a period of training. Psychological behavior training and outward bound training have similarities, but because of the different training purposes, the focus of the project setting and the training method are also different.

Public Security Police School: The psychological behavior training equipment of the public security police school is mainly in the form of a polyhedral combination with climbing wall. There is no fixed shape, and it is designed separately according to the actual site and capital budget of the customer.

Playground Ready To Be Put Into Use

In order to promote the overall development of adolescents, the state fully supports the construction of a nationwide model comprehensive practice base for teenagers in recent years.

Recently, part of the project that JP is responsible for in the Zhangjiakou City Youth Demonstration Comprehensive Practice Base was initially completed and will be put into use. Projects built by JP include Rock Climbing, Giant’s Ladder, Power Leap Bar and so on.

Climbing Wall: The climbing wall grips on the rock wall are randomly arranged, and the challenger needs to use both hands and feet to grab the appropriate grips and climb upwards. This is an extreme sport that challenges will and physique.

Giant’s Ladder: This challenge requires trust, support and communication. Two people climb up a ladder. The rungs get further and further apart making the challenge increase in difficulty as the height increases. Reach the top only by working together. 

Power Leap Bar: In this high ropes course activity, the challenger leaps from the platform to a suspended bar a distance away from them. As one of the more challenging ropes course elements, the participant must face their fears and take a leap of faith in order to complete this challenge.

JP’s Team Building in Adventure Park

On June 8, 2018, JP’s annual team building program started in Xinzheng Runtian Adventure Park, whose adventure and team building equipment was designed, produced and installed by JP.

Considering JP’s large employee number and to offer everyone a chance to enjoy the program better, all JP’s employees would attend the program in two phases. The 1st phases started on June 8, 2018 and participants are mainly sales.

The team building program was designed by JP’s professional instructors, based on equipment JP offered to the Adventure Park.

Here, following instructors’ instructions, participants were grouped into 2, and competed with each other to fulfill all the challenge missions. They tried Rock Climbing Walls, High Ropes Course, Treetop Adventure Course, Aerial Challenge Course, Zipline, etc.

During the one-day challenge, participants challenge themselves and demonstrate good team work in overcoming all obstacles. They had a wonderful day and looking forward to the program next year.

Kids & High Ropes Challenge

Kids are natural climbers. While high ropes challenge course builds endurance and physical skills as well as mental development, it’s a healthy option for children who are not interested in traditional kids sports. 

Kids and High Ropes Challenge can be regarded as perfect partners, because kids bring laugh and vigor to the static high ropes course, and high ropes challenge course facilitates kids’ development in a comprehensive way:

1. Confidence – Facing the giant high ropes and aerial challenge, it’s the confidence in kid’s that drives him or her to start the first step. And after finish the challenge course, confidence increased.

2. Concentration – Obstacles in high ropes challenge course are various and require kid’s concentration to overcome them. Kids should concentrate himself to solve the problems he faces step by step.

3. Resolution – During the challenge, kids will challenge himself again and again. Whether to give up or go on is subject to, not just courage, also his determination, sense of honor, and strong resolution.

4. Physical Coordination – To challenge the high ropes course, kid’s arms, legs and the whole body should be nimble enough. When he tried for the first time, he may have no ideas, but the next time, he will make progress, and time after time, you can see he is so flexible when trekking on the high ropes and he becomes nimble.

Belay Systems for Ropes Course

No high ropes course can be operated without belay system as safety always goes first. To choose a proper belay system, it’s necessary to learn the categories of belay systems for ropes course. And this article is mainly based on European Ropes Course Standard EN15567:2005.

EN:15567 for Ropes Courses has identified three different types of belay systems.

1.Assisted Belay System

Definition: “Belaying system where the participant is secured by at least one person”: also known as top roping, bottom top roping, V Belaying or M belaying.

Normal Use: This system is normally reserved for a developmental ropes course. The use of the course requires direct supervision (see definitions) which generally requires a high instructor/participant ratio.

2.Continuous Belay

Definition: “Belaying system that enables participants to progress from one action system to the next and does not require participants to undo or change the connection to the belay system at height”.

Normal Use: Ideal for recreational use or for outdoor centers where a high throughput of participants and minimum supervision is required.

3.Self Belay

Definition: “belaying system which is operated by the participant”; formerly known as a cow’s tail system.

Normal Use: Ideal for developmental use. Although used in France for recreational use the requirements of the EN: 15567 for Ropes Courses are such that these courses will now require a much higher level of supervision than was formerly provided if they are to conform.
